Sparky for Android
Your conversations stay on your server. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data.
Overview
Sparky is an Android application that connects via SSH to your own server where Claude Code runs. It serves as a chat interface for AI assistance. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information.
The Short Version
Sparky does not collect any personal data. All conversations happen on your own server. We have no access to your data, your server, or your conversations.
Information the App Stores
Sparky stores a minimal amount of information locally on your device only:
- SSH connection details (hostname, port, username) needed to connect to your server
- SSH authentication credentials (key or password) stored in the app's private storage on your device
- App preferences and settings
This information never leaves your device. It is stored in the app's local storage and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Sparky does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Your conversations or chat history (these exist only on your server)
- Analytics or usage data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Contact information
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- Any form of telemetry
Your Conversations
All conversations happen directly between the Sparky app on your device and the Claude Code instance running on your own server over an SSH connection. We have no access to, and no knowledge of, the content of your conversations. Your server, your data.
Third-Party Services and SDKs
Sparky does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporting tools, or any other services that collect user data. The app communicates exclusively with the server you configure via SSH.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:
- Clear the app's data from Android Settings to remove all stored connection details
- Uninstall the app to permanently delete all locally stored information
- Conversations on your server are under your control and subject to your own data management practices
Data Security
Sparky uses SSH (Secure Shell) for all communication with your server, providing end-to-end encryption for data in transit. Connection credentials are stored in the app's private storage area, which is sandboxed by the Android operating system and inaccessible to other apps.
Children's Privacy
Sparky is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the app requires access to a personal server running Claude Code, it is intended for adult users with technical expertise.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Since the app does not collect data, we have no way to notify users directly of changes.
