Purple dots are auto-captured connectivity samples — one is logged every ~60 seconds in drive mode without any tap, recording cell type (3G/4G/offline), estimated downlink, and RTT. The gap between dots along Hwy 24 is the dead zone itself: the device couldn't reach a tower to post, then resumed once back in coverage. The absence of data is the data.
